More table setting can be found at: Between Naps on the Porch.
The dining room table set in red and white.
White dinner plate (Marshall's), bee hive salad plate (Nell Hill's), J's mother's 1944 wedding gift sherbet dish, white demitasse/espresso cup and saucer are from the Oneida Outlet, Osage Beach. I believe that store is closing.
Completing the setting, Target flatware and placemats and Martha Stewart napkins in red and white, purchased at Williams Sonoma several years ago. The rooster was purchased at Costco.
(The bunny chalkboard, in the prevous post, was purchased, as we remember, 5 or 6 years ago, at Cracker Barrel.)

Thanks so much for your sweet well wishes. The pain in my right arm is almost completely gone, as of this writing, Sunday evening. Monday Update: We had our regular 4 month med check ups today. Seems we are both pretty healthy. I was even congratulated by Dr Z, for a bit of weight loss. He thought that was wonderful, given the time of year. Made me smile. We came home with scrips for antibiotics and decongestants to treat the usual wintertime complaint. As I type, we are snug, cozy and medicated, awaiting the great snow storm of '09.

This is just lovely, Pat. We are awaiting the storm also. We had a few sleet pellets this afternoon. Hopefully our "town" will be in clear in the morning. Have a good evening and I do enjoy your posts.
We too are due for more snow, your table looks lovely and congrats on the weight loss :)
Stay warm,
Kathy :)
I love the salad plate! Your table is so inviting... nice for a romantic dinner on a cold evening!
I love the red and white and the rooster is perfect. Good luck with your snow storm, I'm glad I'm in Florida.

Love the tablescape! I had to laugh at your last line. We are waiting some snow too. Are you at the condo? The Lake is supposed to get more snow than us.
I didn't know Oneida was closing. I'll have to find my way down there soon!
So pretty
You really know how to set a table! Very, very beautiful!!!
Very cozy looking! Love the napkins, and of course, all of your dishes are beautiful. Stay warm - it is 11 degrees in Colorado right now - I think it is coming your way.

You know out of all the dishes in the world, white or cream colored are my very favorites. They are so simple, elegant, homey, rich, country, perfect for all those. Yes, brace yourself. I hear you are in for quite the storm. I hope not. Mom and I are talking about making a road trip to st.Lou on Friday. Have a good week and stay medicated!!
I love the white plate and the round placemats. The sherbet glass is so pretty! I take the rooster off your hands. lol

At least yours is snow instead of ICE!!! Lovely table, I need tutoring. I need more dishes. I need more flatware. I need to get my wedding china out. I need to get my mom's china out. I guess I'm just needy today. Blessings, Shay
The red and white is so pretty. I love the mix of patterns in the dishes, it looks so much more interesting than everything matching. The rooster is just wonderful, but I love all roosters. Thanks for the great tablescape. Hugs, Marty

Such beautiful dishes. What a blessing to have dishes from your hubby's mother. I don't know about you but I have had ENOUGH of the cold. We are suppose to get some more snow tomorrow but this weekend it is suppose to get warmer :o)

Isn't it wonderful to get a good report from the Dr? Your tablescape is so pretty. I love that flatware, and was shocked to see that it was from Target. I'm going to have to check that out. It sounds like the ice is on its way! Hope it won't be as bad as predicted. laurie

Your table is so cheery, maybe it will keep away the great snow. I love those napkins. I have been on a napkin buying binge lately. I also love the vintage sherbert glasses, so pretty. I'm glad you got a clean bill of health from your doc, and congrats on your weight loss. Hope the snow is not so bad. Blessings, Barb

Hi Pat
Everything looks gorgeous. I love your "Gather Together" sign. It's perfect...seriously. I'm so glad you're feeling better and congrats on the weight loss. Were you trying to lose or did it just happen since you've been so busy?
Hugs!
Kat
The final remnants from our white Christmas had finally melted...until this last weekend when we got a little more. Fortunately it melted too, just in time for tonight's predicted (lite) snowfall. It's time to snuggle in with a nice fire and cocoa.
I liked the embossed pattern on the plates. Everything looked lovely.
Sweet Wishes,
Sara

Here in West Texas, I woke up this morning to a heavy sleet...we have been having 60 to high 70 days so I am freezing my fanny off !!
Love everything about this post! Very beautiful! Please take care of yourself honey! ;) ~CC Catherine
I love your table setting! Would love to see the beehive salad plate up close. I really like bee hives! Stay warm and safe!
This is a pretty table Pat - could be for a Valentine's Day meal with the warm red. Love the rooster.
You have been busy at the condo - hope your poor arm is better. I have a similar problem - right shoulder pain, think it's my rotator cuff so trying not to lift too much and do gentle exercises. Of course with the cold and damp weather these aches and pains sent to we 'golden gals' seem part of everyday living, don't they?
Everything you and J have done to spruce up your lovely lake home looks fabulous - I'm still waiting for my painter to get started on the dining room!
Hope all is OK regarding the weather there - we had our snow last week and are hoping that will be it for this Winter - it was just enouh!!
Continue to stay well you two - Spring isn't far away now!
Hugs - Mary.
This is a very pretty. The sherbet dish is lovely and I really like the flatware too. Stay warm and cozy, I hope you are feeling 100% soon....hugs, Linda

Your comment has tears streaming down my cheeks. I am so sorry for your lost and admire your daughter and SIL very much. What an incredible couple they must be. I am sorry for your pain of watching your precious daughter go through this.
Each child is so precious in the sight of God.
May He continue you to bless you and your family.

Boy this has really been quite the winter for so much of the country!! Love your white on white with that red napkin popping it's color! Beautiful with the snow view out the window!!
Pat, what amazes me so much about you is how you "see" a tablesetting in your mind. I love your choice of these particular dishes and items, and I love even more the fact that you got good deals on them! Your tables are always timelessly done with such artistry.
I'm so glad to hear about your checkups and the improvements and hope the winter season is over soon so you will both feel better.
Sending much love your way. Be safe in the storm...
XO,
Sheila :-)

Hello Pat!
Glad to hear your arm is feeling better and that you and J are in general good health! I'm sure all the condo decorating/painting you've been doing helped you lose a few pounds, which is a wonderful bonus!
This tablescape is so pretty! I love how you blend different china pieces in one place setting. The view from your windows is so pretty too!
Stay warm and safe from the storm.
Hugs, Pat
Hi Pat! So, did you get "the storm"? We had some sleet (snow pellets) and a bit of snow (all day, but not much accumulation)--we dodged the weather bullet and I hope you guys did, too! It is hard to believe that 7 years ago next week, we had a horrible ice storm in the KC, MO area! It left us without power for 9 days and the owners of a generator! When we built this house we had a special outlet put on the back patio just to plug in the generator--so we can use the generator to run our furnace and a few other elecric items properly and safely if we need to!
Your tablescape is lovely--you always put the nices touches to your decorating. I love those red napkins with your white and clear dishes.
Glad you had good health reports, too.
Dana
Just beautiful! Love the white plates.

Beautiful tablescape, Pat. Best wishes to you and J as you "weather the storm."
Stay safe and warm!
Your table is set beautifully. I just love your dishes too. Isn't it just wonderful to sit and eat at a table as grand as that...everything tastes so yummy and the mood along with it.
I'm glad you are feeling better and had a great checkup.
Keep feeling good.

Hugs, Cynthia
Wow, love the table settings! LOVE all things Nell Hill, I wish I lived closer to the store.
That is so beautiful!!! I wish I could still find those napkins for my dinner table. You are so creative...my Mom had that Interior decorator talent.
I kept a grandson yesterday so I am just now getting around to some of the TT tables....sorry!
Congrats on the good health report Pat! All your tables are lovely but I love the simplicity of thsi one. It's simple but it still says "Pow", you know what I mean?
Pat it's gorgeous! I wish he had a Nell Hill's close to us, but we don't. I saw pictures from Peeking through the Sunflowers blog, and I was hooked! Lovely tablesetting - those salad plates are just beautiful!
The little white plate is just to die for. I'm not familiar with Nell's Hill (was that it?) but I need to be right now!
Feel better and stay warm!
Pat, thank you for checking on me. We got about 1/2 inch of ice and then 2 inches of pretty, fluffy snow on top! Today the sun is out and shining, the snow has turned to glitter! Our private roads are still white, don't know about the county roads. Sweet Hubby still had to go to work so he'll tell me tonight. No school yesterday or today, don't know about tomorrow. Blessings! Shay
~Beautiful table.~ Love the dish design.
I'm glad to hear you are both doing well.
Great news. :)
Purty!

Hi Pat! it's just lovely! I'm sorry to hear you've been in pain and glad that that's just about over and glad you both you and J have a clean bill of health. You know I just have to come back for tablescape tuesday's I really enjoyed it myself when I got into it. Though I miss you all dearly, I am also enjoying my time with my family. It's a good life! Thank you Jesus! Deb
Hi Pat~
If I'm gone from here a week, you get so much done! The last post was wonderful, too. You might have convinced me I "need" a macro after all. Your pictures were beautiful.
Beautiful pictures in this post, too. So enjoyed them.
Donna
Wow! I see I am making the 100th comment! I have been missing out on a beautiful blog. I love, love, love your table setting. Pretty, pretty.
Sorry for the storm you are about to get. We have had such a cold winter just north of you!
Well red and white is my favorite color combination so I just love this. Beautiful! I like it cause it's not fussy - simple and elegant!
Manuela
Beautiful home plus your ideas are so right, if not sure of either the red or black then mix the two for a warm deep red stain on the island.
Love your living room and the bird cages, use the rooster from the kitchen table picture and some other items, old hymns, 3-5 stacked on top of one another, a look a like glass bell with bunny in the one pictured on the bar or a great large glass container with green moss and plants growing inside or other things you may have lying around. Just be sure to keep the main eye catching one large for the size of the table. The table is large and needs to get a little softened, even throwing a piece of fabric from one corner to the other in bolder colors and design, not tiny print and barely there color adding the rooster on top along with a couple other different height objects. Lovely and good for you for keeping it fresh and full of life.
Hope you have weathered the storm well. I know your neck of the woods got hit hard!
I absolutely adore the bee hive salad plate. I recently bought a Nell Hill book and drool over it often :-)
