~A Beautiful Life & Day Trip Dreamin'~

Have regular hours for work and play; make each day both useful and pleasant, and prove you understand the worth of time by employing it well. Then youth will be delightful, old age will bring few regrets, and life will become a beautiful success.

Last Saturday, while shopping with our daughter, I found more great 50%-75% sales at Target. I purchased a comforter and shams in navy and white toile, from Waverly. The reverse side is gold, navy and white. For sometime now I've wanted to redo the larger of our two guest rooms in blue and white. The furniture in this room includes a sleigh bed, gentleman's chest and small armoire. The finish is cherry, the style is colonial; perfect for toile.

The paint color, in the room, Laura Ashley Gold 3, from Valspar, will remain. It's a good match to the gold of the bedding. Other than the comforter and shams, I bought two bolsters and a striped pillow. I have a plan for a change to the window treatment.

Just about this time, last year, I updated the other guest room and the master bedroom.

I didn't have a pre-plan for making over this room. When I saw the blue and white toile, I seized the moment! Just ask J, he knows how I love to seize the moment. Especially when it relates to decorating and such.

Our painter was here, the other day, and gave us an excellent bid for the island. After looking at several photos and talking it over, the island project is scheduled to begin Monday morning, bright and early.

We're planning a little day trip to beautiful historic Hermann Missouri, over the weekend. Weather is supposed to be great! I hope to post about our day in the lovely German community, sometime next week.

I'm adding a link to this post at The Inspired Room. Melissa hosts Beautiful Life, each Friday. Melissa is at Blissdom. I want to wish her and all those, in attendance at this wonderful event, a fabulous time and safe travels. I'm looking forward to hearing about it!

Hope you have a great weekend!
