It’s Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan, of Between Naps on the Porch. Thank you Susan for hosting this fun event, each Thursday.
This is one of those spur of the moment, thrown together tables, I do now and then.
While I was putting this table together, I took time out to catch up with my e-mail, from friends JoAnn & Gwyn. As I was replying to one of the messages, I mentioned I was putting together a cute tablescape, on the back porch. I ran the A and C together…making the word acute. I suppose, subconsciously, I was telling them about a malady, known as, acute tablescapeitis. Finally, we dish folk have a name for our disease!!
Chicken wire cloches, from Raised in Cotton, plates from Nell Hill’s, and a rug (inspired by Cote de Texas) from Target, are among the elements of this setting.
The hen and rooster salt and pepper shakers were my mother’s. I believe they are from the 1950’s. The tiny cloches are from All About Home, here in town. Napkins purchased at Walmart. The flatware is from the Oneida outlet closing sale. I don’t remember where I bought the glassware. The rooster, in the chicken wire cloche, is from Marshall’s.
It’s very overcast, gloomy, and rainy in our part of the world. With the poor light, inside and out, I chose to use the Canon 50mm lens, for these photos. Great for close ups of tablescapes and wonderful for low light situations. Of course, since I finished this post, the sun is trying to shine!

Look so cute. I love roosters and your too funny with your acute
tablescapitis. :)
Oh, I just love it. So pretty and I am crazy about roosters. Your dishes are stunning. I absolutely love the wire cloches. I don't know if you know, but we're having a "Cloche Party" on Friday. I would love for you to link this to that party. I will have Mr. Linky up tomorrow night before 8pm eastern time. I really hope you will link up and join the party. So many have never seen wire cloches and I think they would be fascinated and love them. Hugs, Marty
Oh, I was wondering where you got those wire cloches. I shall have to visit her. This is both beautiful and inventive, as you always seem to be. I think it's cute and we're acute with our fascination with tablescapes. (I got to see the gazebo you mentioned! Thanks so much!)
Brenda

See you then. Hugs, Marty
How appropro that in this week of the upcoming cloche party, that you have chosen to use little cloche jars and the wire cloches for your tablescape. I hope that your "ailment" does not clear up, as it is quite the boon to the rest of us! Everything looks lovely on your rooster inspired table. Sue

Hi from N Ireland. My first time here to your delightful blog.
I love to take photos too, and am also a Canon girl.
Love the cloches.
Oh be still my heart! I love the square plates with birds on them. Did you give the info for those?
It's wonderful that you were inspired and remembered the rugs on the table. I'm always promising myself that I'll remember a beautiful blog idea....doesn't happen.
Thanks for the gorgeous inspiration!

Pat - I also suffer from acute tablescapeitis. I took some aspirin this morning but it didn't help much. But, seeing your lovely table is starting to relieve some of my symptons.
How absolutely cute are your chicken wire cloches? I guess I have been under a rock b/c I have not seen this and I heart them! We have the same theme this week, but yours is sooo much cuter-itis. (that is another sympton of tablescapeitis.)
Love your poultry! LOL Thanks so much for "throwing" this together for us. Hugs, Barb
I love your thrown together table and the perspective of your photos! Very nice and it sure draws me in. Look at all those different types of Cloche thingees! Very nice!!
I love t all,but the wire cloche is wonderful. You know how I love roosters.
Those chicken wire cloches are the cutest things!! I'll have to be on the lookout.
I need to ask you about your camera!! When you have a minute, could you email me at scrunnermom@gmail.com? I've looked into the Canon xsi as well--it's newer, but is it better? Do you think I should research the ti and si and compare? I'm saving my $$ and want to make the best choice! Thanks so much!
Hugs,
Susan

Christi
Very nice,Pat...and I am so glad you've made a diagnosis of our "sickness"...sounds pretty serious, doesn't it?! :-D Those black wire cloches are very unique...and versatile!
Happy TT!

Those little cloches are adorable!!! And the plates from Nell Hill are amazing. Awesome for thrown together. - The Tablescaper
Mmm, very pretty especially considering the low light.
SO I wonder if we will have to start a group of ATA's
Acute tablescapitus anon's?
It occurs to me I also have dishes stored in tubs in the attic, hmm? I really only recently discovered this hidden passion of mine.
Darn cute, those little rooster s&p's!
Love the cloches, especially the chicken wire one. Pretty tablescape. Acute tablescapeitis? I think it is more chronic, we've had it for a long time! LOL...Christine
I'm impressed - this would never be a spur of the moment look on my table -- I'd certainly have to plan anything that looks this good! Love your look -- acute tablescapeitis? Yep! I've got it bad!
Adorable!
A worthy acute malady!
I hope that disease is catching because I could sure use some inspiration like that!
Hugs,
Cathie
Pat, this is very beautiful, spur-of-the-moment or not! I love the charger on the diagonal and of course Mary Carol's dishes are pretty! I've got that same tablescape bug!!Great job!

Love your tablescape on the porch! Looks very inviting, and how special that you've used your mom's salt and pepper shakers. I live anything with roosters.

Haha Pat... acute tablescapeitis, at least it's a "cute" disease. Those teeny-tiny little cloches are wonderful & your mom's S&P shakers look precious under them. I like the idea of the rug too...
Another great table from you!

FAB-U-LOUS!!! I'm so glad you have acute tablescapeitis, because we all get to enjoy the results. :)
This is such a wonderful table, Pat, with so many beautiful textures and finishes. Stunning, really. You and Susan should do a tablescape book together. I think it would be a terrific hit. :)
Pat, this is just lovely. May I say that you wear your disease well. ;-)
Pat.....So cute as always! Where did you find that darling frog in our birdbath? Perfect! I would love to have something like that in mine:)

How cute!
Thank you for stopping by to see me. And your table does indeed have the Nell Hill's look I showed in my post. I was so tickled to get her book but, can't wait to go up there in person. JoAnn said the same thing you did... that Mary Carol is just a lovely person. Thanks for sharing. I think I will post some Nell Hill;s bed vignettes on my Pink Saturday Post.
Pat, that china is spectacular! I love your new name for us tablescaping crazies! So appropriate! I definitely have acute tablescapeitis! I want one of those wire cloches. You know I love the roosters! Knowing you, this probably was just thrown together, but it sure doesn't look like it was! laurie
I love your table. Everything looks great together.
Where did you get your wire cloches? Just love them. Love the way you use your cloches. Very pretty.
Love the photo from the inside looking out. When my camera grows up it wants to be your camera. I would, however, need some of your photography skills.
I love the wire cloche! Pass them on to me if you tire of them. lol The rooster is so cute in them. What a wonderful spur of the moment table setting! I just love it all!!!!
Pat, this tablescape is gorgeous. How funny--and fun--about tablescapitis!
