~Something New~

mumC

We are preparing for a trip to the lake, today.

Labor Day weekend is the last big weekend of Summer 2010.

I have a post started in draft for Saturday Photo Fun II. The image, above, is included in that post.

Something New

I added something to my sidebar, very early this morning, I hope will become a regular feature.

While looking at the list of blogs I follow, I saw a delightful post from Vignette Design.  It inspired me to begin the new sidebar feature.

In this first edition of Posts to Take Note, I used one of my own images.  In the future I hope to add the blog authors’ photos.  The feature was a spur of the moment idea, in the wee small hours of the morning.

As you can see, from the image, we are fans of Coppola Wines, as well as fans of Coppola.

Delores’ (Design Vignette) photos are beautiful.  Her post about the Coppola Winery is well written.

I was taken with Francis Ford Coppola’s quote.

Enjoy!

Have a wonderful weekend away. We are preparing to spend the weekend at the Oregon Coast with family and then on to another coastal community for a week of vacation. The last get-away for the summer! Looking forward to visiting you a time or two while I'm away and have access.

Hello Pat- I love your new side bar feature. Your right, Vignette Designs photos are so beautiful! I love the message in Mr. Coppola's statement concerning the development of his winery and how he would wish for it to be enjoyed by others. I love coming to your site for it's beauty, stories, and teachings so that others can be inspired to grow. Thank you for everything you bring to your blog. It's a joy to visit. Kris

Enjoy your trip. Ours are here at the beach for the week, and then back to school. It sure went fast.
Of course, September is still loaded with summer here, and the water is warm and the beaches quiet! My fave month!

I visited Vignette Designs too and thought that to be a most interesting post. I would love to visit that winery especially since I also enjoy some of their wines. The quote is wonderful and BTW, LOVE you pic of the mums. That color mum is amazing. I have been planning my Fall garden and trying to decide what color to plant in terms of mums. You helped me make that decision. My search is on for that mum to plant en masse at the end of my driveway and also by my front mailbox.

Ahh Pat, thanks for the mention. That was so nice of you! I like your photo of the Coppola wine too. When they open the pool area, I'll send you a photo. Have a wonderful long weekend at the lake. Sounds like fun. I can't believe summer is winding down--I'm not ready. We send our son off this Sunday to Italy for fall semester, so we are staying home for a change.
Thanks again for your support! Delores

Hi Pat, This is a very special weekend. I know you will enjoy Labor Day weekend at the lake.

We are going to my brother's 50th wedding anniversary. It will be a family reunion. It will be held in Waynesville, NC, which is less that an hour from Franklin.

I am off to check your sidebar. I know it will be as wonderful as Back Porch Musings. A nice idea Pat.

Have a great weekend at the lake.
Hugs, Jeanne
