~Garage Sale Chronicles~

The Beginning
___________________________________
We are in the exciting early planning stages of a family garage sale to be held within the next few weeks. We hope to have one of the biggest and best garage sales in the history of our small town. Our plan is to entice people from several counties, to shop till they drop!

The garage has been cleared of clutter. We have inventoried closets and storage areas in anticipation of offering our valuable treasures at amazingly affordable prices!

I want to join the line of treasure hunters - if only you weren't so far away!
I need to have one too - we've done several and each time Bob says "this is the last one" as he hates them! We usually wait until several neighbors agree to join in and put out their treasures too - that way we can afford an ad in the paper, a lot of people read it and come from all over town.
Good luck with your sales - you will have great stuff I'm sure!

Oh, much success and enjoyment -- you have fabulous treasures... and apparently loads of energy to organize this. Whew, that's lots of work.

Oh, Pat, you know if I lived near you, I'd be the first one there! Looks like you have some great "junk" to sell. I know it's gonna be a huge success, can't wait to hear all about it.

I don't envy you.
I hate garage/yard sales.
I don't know why...except.. maybe growing up everything we owned was second hand. Even all my clothes were hand me down.

(I have a nephew in Bourbon-- west of ST L.. who is a quadraplegic. I haven't been to see him in years.)

How fun! It should be a grand event. I know the prep work can be a lot, but usually fun once the sale gets started. Best of luck to you and your town!
