~Fall Decorating~

I used a ceramic pumpkin and wire basket, I've had a few years, on the dining room table. This is the only fall decorating I'll do in this room.
*****************************************************

The cooler weather, we're having this week, has put me in the mood for fall decorating. I found everything I need in the basement storage. It's amazing how easy it is to get around and find things there, since the Garage Sale!

I didn't decorate for fall, last year, because we started decorating for the Christmas open house in late September. Fall is my favorite season. I enjoy putting together little vignettes, throughout the house.

A closeup of the plant stand arrangement, was taken with the new camera. All the other photos were taken with my little Kodak camera. I'm keeping it nearby, until I learn more about the Canon.

This arrangement of faux leaves and pumpkins is in a large crock bowl, I've had several years. It sits in the center of the farmhouse style table in our breakfast room.

I plan to decorate the front door and back porch, over the weekend. I have some ideas dancing around in my head.
What are your plans for fall decorating? I'm looking forward to seeing how you're celebrating Autumn.
Have a wonderful weekend!

What wonderful Autumn arrangements! For some reason I can never quite pull Fall decorating off....but perhaps with your pictures as inspiration I just might try again :)

Everything looks so pretty, Pat! What a lovely home you have. It is always a 'treat' to visit there! I especially love the bowl arrangement on your table.

I'm loving having some cooler temps, too. We will probably warm up some next week~but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Your beautiful home just lends itself to wonderfully seasonal decorating. You have such an eye...so elegant, so warm. You have the most lovely things.
I am always inspired by your skill as a decorator.

Pat your Fall displays are really lovely - and your home always looks so elegant.
Think I'll start tomorrow - we are due our first rain in a month and hopefully some cooler temps. Housework and Fall decorating might be just the ticket!

Love what you have done so far.
You are very good at arranging your vignettes.
Can't wait to see what you come up with for the outside.
I am working on that now too.
Can't wait to show you.
Have fun,
Rosemary

Your autumn decorations are lovely and your autumn banner is perfect for the season. I'm heading to the US (New Hampshire) on Monday and hope to come home armed with lots of autumny bits and pieces, there's very little available over here so I make the most of my visits to the US. I'm hoping for some genuine Fall colour while I'm on your side of the pond.

Pat,
Lovely decorations. That orange pumpkin really stands out against the black of your dining room. The wicker planter by the window is stunning! Great job putting that together!! Enjoyed reading about your new camera and seeing your photo effects. It's amazing how they change, but still look natural. Keep posting!!

You know, I had just about talked myself out of the whole "fall tree" idea, but after seeing all of your lovely decorations, I'm back in the mood for it! Gosh I love fall and I love the colors and the themes and...oh, just ALL of it! The temps here are back into the 90's after a couple of days in the 80's...I feel like we're going the wrong way here with the fall weather I've been dreaming about! I've been fussing at my husband about needing to live where there's longer winters and shorter summers...I said that I'd heard Ohio was great and darned if he didn't apply for a job in Toledo today. Toledo???? You know, I've really got to be more careful what I say to that man. He takes me FAR TOO SERIOUSLY sometimes. lol

Wonderfulfall arragements Pat - it all looks fabulous! I don't do too much cause we do quite a bit outside for Christmas and I just don't have the desire (or energy LOL) to keep taking things down and putting stuff up.

Pat I love your fall pictures. You take beautiful pictures. I would love to decorate for fall, but Inever do. I'm going to try next year. The only decorating I'm doing here is filling a glass dish with Buckeyes that I keep picking up on my walks. I've always loved those!

Hey, nice to see you again -- thanks for popping by! You have such a beautiful home and your decorations are beautiful!

Love the new camera, too -- my parents just bought the same one and I'm hoping for a similar one in the near future. (Say, about Christmastime!) After reading which photo manipulation program you used on that tree photo, I immediately downloaded it. I can hardly wait to experiment!! Thanks for telling us what you used!

I always dream up pretty ideas that I never use! heehee I get inspiration from the fall fairs here in New England.

Oh My! How lovely. I'm working right now on a fall scrap kit with some of the very items you have in your decor. Will share on my blog when it is finished. Now to decorate my house a little too! They say we aren't having a pretty fall this year due to the heat. But I'll bet I can find something colorful for some photos!! xoxo

Pat,

I just wanted to thank you for the times you have visited my blog and left such nice comments. Every time I tried to come visit you, I ended up in the wrong place, I think maybe your address was wrong and there is another less charming back porch musing out there.

Inadvertently but quite to my surprise, I found you another way!

I am SO delighted I did! What a lovely blog this is! I feel like I have missed out by not finding you sooner! I will definitely have some catching up to do! What fun that will be!

Thanks again for seeking me out, and I look forward to visiting regularly now that I know where to find you!

Hey Pat!
Congrats on the new camera. I've been reading about that one. Great ratings.

I totally forgot that you didn't do fall decorating last year with the open house you did. The new pictures really make me long for the cooler weather and the fresh smell of fall.

Love those pictures!
