~Azaleas in the Dining Room Garden~

Just before leaving for the lake, last Wednesday, I took a few photos of the azalea bushes, in the dining room garden.

azalea2 azalea3

This was our view, early Sunday morning.

During the storms, Friday, there was water over the road in some places.  We have not seen the damage from winds, suffered in the area of Missouri south of the lake and other states.

I’ve certainly enjoyed my tiny break, in blogging, but I miss all of you and will be coming by to see you!

I hope your Mother’s Day was as lovely as mine!

Beautiful and I love the statue. I am glad you did not have damage. We we're lucky too, it went south of us about 30 minutes. They had 90+ mph winds! I am glad you enjoy the lake on weekends, we live on a 48 acre lake and love it. So peaceful. Hugs....Brooke

Beautiful pictures to start my Monday, Pat. Best wishes to you and J for a very nice day and week.

We've had some really bad storms go thru our area too, with lots of tornado warnings but thank God, they didn't hit down where we live!

The azaleas are gorgeous and the photos of the lake are enchanting.

I have GOT to get some azaelas in the garden. The color is magnificent. The lake pictures are gorgeous. It looked like that on my way to work today. I was in Northern Missouri this weekend and I didn't see signs of water damage there... a good sign!

I love azaleas and yours are beautiful. Alas, there are none at Linderhof. Perhaps I should rectify that. We got only rain Friday but not far from us to the south, they got the wind -- lots of damage. But I've never seen so much rain in so little time and I now know the meaning of "flash flood"!

The azaelas are gorgeous! We had some very high winds on saturday, but not much damage.

Good morning Pat!!

Down here azaleas are in bloom everywhere!! So pretty!! Your's are delightful!!

I'm happy to hear that your had a great Mother's Day. I did, too, and this weekend hubby and I are escaping and island-hopping for a few days on the Florida and Georgia east coasts. YIPPEE!! Can't wait!! This is my Mother's Day/Birthday combo and our little much anticipated romantic getaway rolled into 3-4 days!!

We haven't stolen away since this time last year!!

Have a wonderful week, friend!

Storm damage south of you? Uh oh, I better check on the cabin! Not again?

I have not brought myself to plant any azaleas yet. Aren't they rather particular about their conditions?

The Bliss Journey said...

I love azaleas. I had them in Pa. but they don't do as well here in Florida. Glad you enjoyed your little break. We headed to our island beach house for a few days last week. It's only a few miles from our home but it feels like a million miles away. Have a great week.

How they decorate your window. sigh.

My last azalea didn't survive the winter.

They grow so well on the west side of the mtns where I grew up. Here, they take a lot more tlc.

I love your blog; I found you thru Cranberry Flats; what beautiful photos; I agree with the comment you made re; dogs; ours are used to being fussed over; however once we moved to MI we had all kinds of idiots making stupid comments and acting fearful of our babies; they think our dogs are pitbulls! They are not they are English Bulldogs and are the sweetest babies ever; well I just love your big ole' black doggie what a sweetie pie! I would just give that baby a big hug; and some ice cream LOL!!

Your azaleas look just lovely. They had finished their blooming at the Missouri Botanical Garden on Sunday. I was in hopes that they would still be in their full bloom. I guess it is just that much cooler here. Hope we can get to The Lake at the same time! I would love for you to see our place.
