Welcome to Cuisine Kathleen’s table setting party, where tables are set entirely in white, including linens and florals.
Stop by Kathleen’s, June 23, for a list of participants.
Also stop by Between Naps on the Porch, each Thursday, for Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan.
I set the dining room table, using a mix of white and creamy white dishes and accessories, from my “tiny” collection of dishes. I decided to leave the table uncovered. I like how the white dishes look against the dark finish.
The center vignette is tall and a tad large. A little bit over the top, especially when considering dinner table conversation. I decided to throw caution to the wind and created away.
I personally believe it’s quite alright to use silks.
Silk flowers, bird cage, shells, and birds, from Evergreen Mfg., Osage Beach, Missouri.
Floral container, Haeger Pottery (garage sale find).
Pedestal, candleholder, dinner plate, and salad plate, HomeGoods.
Target 99 cent flatware.
Small gingko leaf dish, Pier One, Osage Beach. Saucer, Oneida Outlet clearance.
Glassware, Mikasa Outlet.
Small pitcher, Marshall’s, Osage Beach.
Large pitcher, Michael’s.
Silk flowers, with dark centers, Michael’s.
White pedestal bowl and covered butter dish, Mikasa.
Bee hive place card holder, Nell Hill’s.
Shell napkin rings and apples, All About Home (local shop).
Vintage napkin.
Wall paint color; Sherwin Williams Interesting Aqua, ceiling SW Topsail. These are on the same chip card.
The botanical prints are calendar pages, matted and framed in Michael’s stock
The dining table is Lexington Long Cove Fall River. A system of extensions allows the table to extend and remain round.
The dining room chairs are Lexington Long Cove Summerville. The slipcovers were included, when we purchased the chairs.
Alas, at the end of the day, I could not resist a tiny bit of color. The table is done, all in white, but just before publishing, I threw these little lime green silk blooms on the gingko leaves and snapped a couple of quick photos! I haven’t much will power, when it comes to color; especially this color.

I love so many things about your home (and lake home) and I am really drooling over your white tablescape. Perfectly beautiful.
Stunning!!! The combination of the dining room walls, table and chairs and the white table setting - to die for! That little splash of green is gorgeous! Well done!
I love white china and accessories. A couple of years ago I replaced my colourful china with a completely white set - china and accessories. And I've never looked back. It is so versatile - you can set the most elegant or most casual of tables.
I will be re painting my dining room over the next 6 months and will definitly look at these colours! I did a post a while back on my Dream Dining Room - and I think it's in your house!!
Thanks for sharing :D
Oh Pat this whole thing is just beautiful my friend...Oh its stunning to look at and again your photos are just magicical...Love it all...May you have a great day...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Wow just beautiful. That blue paint color really pops with all the white in the room and I love all the attention to detail in the table settings. When can I be invited for dinner? :)
Pat...This is just beautiful! White is sooo elegant and classic....but, like you, I loved the pop of green at the end! Gorgeous....Debbie
Amazing what you've done with items in affordable prices.
Often these kind of settings are done with items outside my price range.
Thanks, beautiful post.
Awwww Miss Pat! I still am in such awe of that aqua room. I dont think I will ever get over this color. Maybe I should try it in my bath.....just maybe...hehe
Absolutely beautiful. Now, I'm itching to go to Home Goods. The embossed plates are show stoppers!

Absolutely gorgeous. The different lighting in the photos is so stunning.
Simply stunning! Your photos are so amazing - I love the mix of B&W and color. Just beautiful! ♥ Diane
I think it is the dark wood of your table that really makes these place settings sing!
Pat, I too love those embossed plates and I'm hoping our Homegoods still has them in stock. I love how you left your table bare and just used your dishes - it really did make them pop. My favorite is the pop of color at the end. Afterall, I am a green girl, too. ~ Robyn
What an absolutely gorgeous blog you have! (I sound like Little Red Riding Hood). Seriously, I'll be a regular visitor now that I've found you.
Thank you for visiting cottage hideaway and for your nice comment. It's nice to meet you!

I appreciate it, and that's no WHITE lie..:)
Oh so gorgeous...every detail. What a fabulous room for the setting too along with that great table. I'm in love....
Beautiful! I so loved seeing your setting. I'm actually having the urge to take time for a tablescape for DH and I. But with two active grands visiting often, it will be special occasions. :)
The table can extend and stay round?! Amazing. I love Lexington.
Oh, and your header is lovely. The ice tea glasses make me feel cool.
Hugs,
CurtissAnn
There are so many things that I like here. First of all is the dark table and NO tablecloth. And I wouldn't have been able to resiste the color of the flower either. And how neat, the white on the silverware. Hey, I even adore the paint color of your walls. Thanks for the look see!
Evening, Dear Pat! You've done it again, my sweet friend! Your table is outstanding - so lovely and so perfect! Your dishes pop on that black table and those napkins look vintage - so pretty! I could stay in your dining room all day - the color is so beautiful! Great job, Dear One!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

I'm loving all of these white tablescapes, and yours is outstanding! It really stands out with the dark table and the yummy blue on the walls. Sally
Ohhh I cant wait to see what y'all picked up!
Beautiful Pat!
Hi Pat, yes, home at last. We did have a wonderful trip. I thought of you as we passed St. Charles. A very pleasant memory. This morning I was unpacking your gifts and admired them all over again. The flower photo is wonderful. The cup traveled with me and it was used every day. My S & P's love their new home. Thank you again. I am going to the pottery place to get the info for you and probably buy myself another piece.
Your white on white table setting is lovely. I love your center piece's and it definitely adds personality to your table setting. I too like the wood as a back ground. It is all beautiful. What is most pleasing is the green flower. That made me smile. I have a hard time loving all white even though it is a very elegant look.
My multitude of laundry and a nap is calling my name. Thank you for keeping up with our trip and your many comments.
Hugs...Jeanne
PS How is J's neck? Did the sock help? Big smile.
Just beautiful!
Simply gorgeous Pat. Befitting a magazine cover.
You always inspire me and never cease to amaze me.

Pat, you are so good with your camera and your choices in dinnerware. So lovely to look at!
Your dining room is gorgeous! And the white/cream tablesetting is so nice. I love love love your chairs. And the white china apples are too cute.
Rhonda
Heaven knows I don't have any will power when it comes to color! That's why I couldn't join this. I don't have enough white to set a table! This is gorgeous. I went back through your list to see where you got the apples, as I missed them on the first go-round. Looks like a local place. I love those goblets. You could set tables as a career!
Brenda
Just beautiful - every bit of it. Absolutely love the glasses - I've got to keep my eyes open for those. I can't believe the flatware is Target. I've gone by it many times. Next time I won't be going by it. I too am a color person so love that splash of green! - The tablescaper
Oh my word girl...I don't even own white dishes and you make me want to buy some!!!! This is just glorious and just makes your mouth fly open with all the ooooohing and aaaaahing..every little detail is just so beautiful it makes me hurt!!!!! lol lol Love this post girl...so much inspiration!!!! I hope you're having a beautiful week as well!
Wow! Lovely dining room and gorgeous photos!
Love your tablesetting! The bare wood makes it really stand out. All the details are gorgeous!
Just gorgeous, your table settings and your pictures! Absolutely gorgeous!
So very beautiful! Perfect!
Katherine
I'm having definite dining room/dish/talent envy going on here. When we downsized I gave away 4 sets of dishes and only kept 2. Every Thursday I have remorse.
Robin@Miscellaneous Thoughts
Absolutely gorgeous and a treat to the eyes. What an inspiration!
Pat - This is just lovely! I so agree with using the white dinnerware and accessories on the dark wood table. It makes such an elegent statement. Don't you just love the flatware from Target. I bought four place settings to use on our breakfast table. They almost appear to be antique!
Try to stay cool!
Charla
Your dining room is just so classic..crisp and clean. Love the wall color. Your table is beautiful and the touch of the bird cage is sweet.
Pat, you have outdone yourself! Your tablescape is the epitome of perfection and gracious hospitality. I especially love the first picture which shows the beautifully embossed salad plate. Every detail is truly exquisite, from the lace napkins with the shell napkin holders to the elegant bird cage centerpiece.
Pat, this speaks to my heart. I am a lover of white from way back. When we got married (almost 39 years ago), I chose white as my "every day" dishes. I still have them, still love them, and still use them every day.
Jeanne has always teased me about my love for white, but I do love it. I love the many shades of white, and the combinations of textures.
Your table is exquisite! Thank you for sharing.
All I can say is GORGEOUS!! I LOVE the white against the dark of the table. I love how you list everything and where it came from at the end. It all looks so expensive and yet it's such a nice mix. How gorgeous that 99 cent flatware from Target looks on your table! As always your pictures are the best!
Manuela
Chuckling at your "tiny" collection; I love that you don't take yourself too seriously and just love to have fun, Pat! Great choice to set the white against the rich dark wood; looks stunning! And the pop of green - yes!
Between the last two posts (I'm late reading blogs this week), I feel like I've just been looking through a gorgeous shelter magazine. Your photos, your home, and your tablescapes are worthy of magazine publication. Thank you for all of the inspiration you share. laurie
Wow, Pat....I think this is some of the best photography I have ever seen from you. These shots look totally professional!! Your dining room looks beautiful. I love the white on white--gorgeous!!
I absolutely love this clean, crisp, and class tablescape you have created! The table, chair covers, china, wall color all works together to make this a stunning, magazine-worthy group of photos!
Wow, your table looks awesome and your pictures are beautiful! I wish I could take pictures as beautifuly as you do.
