A fishy table for two.
It’s time for Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. Table setting inspiration, all around the land of blog, can be found at Susan’s each Thursday.
I chose to set a simple table for two.
Elements of this table:
Colorful fish dish, Marshall’s, Osage Beach Mo. There is a variety of serving pieces and plates, in this pattern; very bright and pretty. I was tempted to buy more.
The metal shells are from Target.
I used a mix of flatware. The green and yellow pieces are from Marshall’s. The napkins, mats, cordial glasses, square plates and small dishes are also from Marshall’s.
The plain stainless and dinner plates are from the Oneida Outlet.
It’s early Tuesday morning. When I’ve composed and scheduled this post, we will be leaving for home. We’ve been here, at the lake, almost two weeks.
This time, we called on a friend to take care of our yard, while we are away. It’s nice not to have to worry about that.
I’m thinking about making a stop at Apple Wagon Antiques, on the way home. It’s been awhile since I visited. I think it would be a great place for Molly to stretch her legs. Anyway, I’ll use that as an excuse to stop!
I’ve visited a bit, this morning. I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to, during my modified blog break.

Pat! How cute! And I haven't seen any fish dishes that cute at our Marshall's. Oh, he's precious! I think you might get a kick out of my post today as I am using those same little shells from Target. Your photographs are just stunning. I wish I could learn from you!

While I was away I had to ask for help with watering, I think next year I should not plan a week long trip during summer! Or maybe look for a getaway closer to home maybe?

It's all very NAUTICAL, but NICE!!!! (please forgive the pun -- couldn't resist!)
Gotta get busy and get my tablescape post finished!!!!!

This is a delightful setting, Pat. I like how the simplicity makes the adorable fish dishes stand out. I want to remember the shell--candle idea. I just came home from vacation with more shells. When I win the lottery or when my ship comes in, whichever comes first, the first thing I am going to purchase is a great camera, like yours. Your photos are just fabulous and I could take a class on photography...I just need a fine camera to go with it!!

They were only interestd in the steak and homemade ice cream! Boys will be boys!

Debbie
Love your fishy tablescape. The large vase/urn with the shells is very pretty. Your pics are fantastic, so crisp and clear!
Dining Delight
I always love your tablescapes. We have the same cordial glasses -- bought not at Marshalls but at Crate and Barrel in Chicago ages ago -- how fitting that you're using them for lemincello -- for that is what they are -- lemincello glasses!
You have a way making Target and Marshall's look very chic!! Good luck at the antique store!
Well, as John Denver would say, your tablescape fills up my senses! It's just delightful, and so creative! Great table!
Oh delight! Those little fish dishes are delightful! Yes...they are!
Cute..just plain cute!
Reminded me of Boop Boop Dittum Dattum Wattum Choo?? Can't help it...love that song and love those fishies!
:)

What a pretty table. My sister went to a Mother Daughter tea one time and different ladies hosted tables and decorated them how ever they wanted. One table was done in gold fish , she had a gold fish in a bowl as her centerpiece and everthing was about goldfish on her table-she said it was so different and fun.
Oh stop by I have a Give Away going on.

Pat this is one of the cheeriest, cutest, yet simplest table settings I've seen yet. I love it! I think my favorite things here are the bright yellow bottle of lemon liqueur, and the shell with the tea light!
Hope you found some goodies at the Apple Wagon. I haven't been there in about a year.
I almost got those lemoncello cups at Marshalls! LOL. What does lemoncello taste like? My friend said gross LOL. But I love lemon! Hmmm. Cute tablescape! Love it!

Just stopping by for the first time and just want to know "how have I missed your blog!?!" It looks like you have beautiful style and your pictures are gorgeous!
I see that you're a camera buff. I just bought a new "semi professional" camera even though I'm certainly not even in that category. Maybe you can share some of your camera expertise with me sometime i.e. how do you get such clear, beautiful photos and how do you enlarge them for your blog? They truly are beautiful.
Those fish are such fun and a sip of Lemoncello to go with it! - The Tablescaper
Hi Pat, gorgeous table as always! Love punch of those dark blue glasses and the shells in the jar!
Manuela
Well Pat, you've stunned me yet again! I love how you mixed up the colors of the flatware. The metal shells I'm salivating over. Love the glassware. Wish I had an outlet near me. Safe ride home now!
