~Bed and Breakfast~

AAAAbandb5Ab Our home is often referred to, by friends, as Pat & J’s B&B.  Photos, for this post, were shot in one of two guest rooms, in our home.

A breakfast tray is my contribution for this week’s Tablescape Thursday.

Dinner plate is Spode, white plate is from Home Goods, small plate and bowl are depression glass, Miss America.  The egg cup is from Home Goods.  Cup and saucer Mikasa French Countryside. The glass is Mikasa.  Flatware is Pfaltzgraff Bennington. The napkin is Ralph Lauren, from Home Goods.

The quilt and shams were purchased at JC Penney, online, about three years ago.

The bed was natural alder, when we bought it.  It was painted creamy white, at an auto body shop. This was the first piece we had painted by the shop.

The pillow was purchased at a home accessories party, about 7 years ago.

Wall color is Laura Ashley Gold #3.

I was asked about the matted and framed bird calendar prints in the master bedroom.  I’ve added the information, on the sidebar.

Another question was about the mosaics I created for this past Monday’s Mosaic Monday.  They were created in Photoscape.  This information can also be found on the sidebar.

Pat, your "B&B" looks charming & comfortable! (Both are requirements for a good B&B!) I love the feel of the room.

I am a red transferware, depression glass collector AND I just bought the Cavallini Birds & Nests 2010 desk calendar for framing! No wonder I always love what you post!

Pat,
Do you have an opening now? Love your tray. I collect pink depression glass, love yours. I was just able to buy four matching plates, off ebay last week. I can't wait to get to the post office to pick them up. Thanks for showing all your wonderful crativity. You are such an inspiration to me.

Hello Pat~
Since I have never offered breakfast in bed to anyone staying at our home, I won't let know how you spoil your guests! I don't recall ever seeing pink in your house, but the little bits of it are so pretty here.
I hope you are keeping warm up there!
Hugs, Donna

Love how you mixed the pink depression glass with other pieces. I collect pink glass too in Mayfair Open Rose. I can just imagine myself all propped up in that sweet be waiting for my breakfast on a tray.

My only time to stay in a B&B was in Bar Harbour, Maine...& it wasn't anywhere as beautiful as yours! I'm sure you are a gracious hostess!

I too love the quilts. I have a beautiful one with butterlies & one that is floral. I've thought about changing over to the puffy comforters, but can't stop loving the quilts!

This is such a pretty post Pat, but what struck me the most was the egg cup. My grandfather (who I loved more than life itself) ate a soft boiled egg every single morning of his life. Does anyone still eat them that way?

So pretty and inviting...with a B&B that looks like yours, I'm sure your guests never want to leave!
I love that quilt...I may have to look online at JC Penney for one for our bedroom.

And, thank you, Pat for visiting today and posting on Sm Town Living. They are a lovely couple, and do such a wonderful job promoting a "back to basics" way of life.
