~Dining Room Revamp~

Do you see something different, about the dining room, in the two following photos?

 diningroomB

While I had the dining room slipcovers removed, for laundering, I took a couple of photos.  The chairs aren’t the only difference, in these pictures.

The three prints show a vineyard and red roofed Italian houses.  I purchased these prints from JC Penney, when we were building our home, in 2003. I used them in the foyer and living room, previously.  I moved them to the dining room from the upstairs hallway.

botanicals

The calendar page botanicals have been moved to a guest room, upstairs.  While I liked them in the dining room, I believe they are better suited for the bedroom.  I’ll post photos of them, in their new home, soon.

The pieces sitting on the cabinet are Lenox.

While I was playing in the dining room, I borrowed the hearth room fern, for a centerpiece and set the table with Spode Italian.

The 90 inch round cloth and 8 napkins, from Horchow, were purchased online a few months ago, while they were marked at 60% off.

The dining room changes began with the large wooden piece, over the center print, found at All About Home, in our town.  I believe this piece is salvaged from an old wardrobe or cabinet. I like how it complements the prints.

Pat, what a beautiful tour of wall art, etc. I do like the changes you made very much. And your table setting are gorgeous, as usual. Are those calendar prints by "Redouté"? I was at a garage sale yesterday and a young gal had 4 florals similar to yours. They were by Redouté. I have some of those prints, and I suggested to her that she keep them, paint the frames black to update them, and change the mats to neutral. I told her they were classics...she totally agreed and took them out of the sale. Silly me - they were $40 for all four and the frames were nice. Well, I just hated to see her do something she would regret later! Linda

Pat, I love the changes. That wooden piece above the artwork is perfect and I love your big antique piece on the other side of the room. Great slipcovers on those chairs even though they look good without them, too. Beautifully set table. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Pat, you have such a talent, I love the fern in the basket!

You always do such a lovely job on your re-dos. The only "problem" is I like your befores as much as your afters. But I am still 100% in love with that beautiful wall color.

I love your dining room. I believe we have close to the same paint color although mine may have a bit more green to it, but it's close. We are working towards doing the wainscotting on the bottom too. I had this in our old home and really loved it! Anyway, I can see how ours will look when it's finished by looking at yours. It's great inspiration to get the job done! Love the way you have this room decorated too, it's so classy and inviting!

Pat,
I love the piece over your artwork. Your dining room is looking lovely. I like the chairs without the covers. I would really like that look in the wintertime. I need to be doing things at home - our yard is about to overtake us - but we are at The Lake for a few days to celebrate my birthday.
Thanks for the lovely photos.
