~Crockpot Chicken & Super Tuesday~

Today was a good day for cooking in the Crockpot. It has been raining off and on since last night. It's cooler, today, than it was yesterday. Yesterday, the temperature was in the high 70's F. It was a beautiful springlike day, in February.

The recipe for my Crockpot chicken is very easy. Crumple foil in the bottom of the crock. Place a whole chicken upon the foil and season with garlic powder, paprika and Spice Island Chicken Seasoning. Crush the latter, before sprinkling over chicken. Do not add liquid. Cover and cook on high for about an hour. Set the Crockpot on low and cook an additional 7 hours. The paprika helps give the chicken a golden color. Tonight, I served the chicken with steamed broccoli, potato salad and a nice white wine.

Today is Super Tuesday. We waited for a lull in the rain storms then drove out to the Fairgrounds to cast our votes. My Granny was 27, when women won the right to vote. She took the right to vote seriously and voted in elections from that time, until Alzeimer's Disease took her memories. I remember her, each time we have an election.
