~We Need a Little Christmas~

In the hearth room, kitchen, and breakfast room.

We're finished decorating for Christmas 2008. Of course, there is always the chance, after we've rested awhile, we'll decide to decorate more. But for now, this is it!

We repurposed many things and moved a cabinet from the back porch to the hearth room. We rediscovered a few Santas and found ornaments we had forgotten about, too.

I'm not adding captions to the photos, this time. If you have questions, please let me know.

The photo, below, is a preview of the living room, ready for Christmas. Look for a post, Friday.

When we arrived home, from the lake, Sunday afternoon, I found a package waiting for me, on the front porch. I participated in Brenda's Christmas Swap. Brenda was my partner. Just look at all the lovely gifts, I received. You might have spotted a couple of these things in the kitchen and hearth room photos.
Thank you so much Brenda. I enjoyed participating!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So many fascinating things to look at. I bet that when you have a home tour, it's hard to keep people moving. I know I would want to stop and take in everything. Sally

What a great idea to move that cabinet from the porch and filling it with happy Santas galore! Yes, indeed, we need a little Christmas and the greenery and white ribbons you've used throughout is just wonderful. I could sit and enjoy each and every vignette very comfortably - lol! (You know I'm not comfy around too much stuff.) Very tasteful, VERY beautiful, VERY CHRISTMAS!

Everything looks beautiful Pat. I smiled when I read. . . we're done for now. . . after we've rested awhile, we'll decide to decorate more. Isn't that always the way? Wait a few days, add more, a few more days, add more. Then it all hits when it's time to remove everything and put it back in the boxes. THEN I say, "Next year, I'm not doing as much!!!" Never works though, I forget and keep going, and going!!

Blessings,

Sher

I know I don't comment as much as I should but you know how I feel about your decorating and your gorgeous home and photography. You have outdone yourself again. What a totally welcoming old fashioned Christmas feel. Anyone would feel welcome in your home. And I love the tree in the blue dining room and you have helped greatly, as you know we have the same colored dining rooms and I also have the Mikasa French countryside...now I have an idea of how to set it more colorfully in my blue dining room!

You really should be a decorator or stager at least!!

That is so neat that yall almost saw the real thing(vaction movie). I met him when he was here doing that movie Fletch... it was years ago. He stayed in a home that was close by ours. I always thought they would stay in a fancy hotel but I guess they didnt want to be bothered by all of the fans. Anyway the family moved out for a couple of weeks and Chevy moved in. I had a little pull so I was able to go to the house and "visit".. sweet!
