Welcome to Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Thank you, for your hospitality, Susan!
The dining room table is set for Sunday dinner. The menu includes, pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, seasoned with ham, and yeast rolls with butter. Dessert, deep dish apple pie, fresh brewed iced tea and coffee.
The ducks, used in the centerpiece, are from Wal-mart about 8 years ago. The white pitcher holds white, with a tinge of yellow, Alstroemeria. The china is Mikasa French Countryside. The Bread and Butter plate is Mary Carol. Flatware includes Oneida Louisiana stainless.
A napkin folding guide can be found HERE.
The swan bench, in the background of some of the photos, was in the foyer for several years. Most recently, it was used in the master suite. We moved it to the dining room last week. It can be drawn up to the table, for extra seating, when the table is extended.
Four year old granddaughter, Miss Gabi, spent the night with us, recently. Just before she returned home, she asked if we can have a "fancy dinner" in the dining room, next time she visits. We plan to have that dinner, in the dining room, soon!
