~Tasty Tuesday at the Lake~

lake1a

We are here…

baconegga

…where we are apt to have a “healthy” breakfast, like this, on the deck. Or supper like the one shown below.

We’ll explore, as usual. Perhaps we’ll picnic, antique or just sit on the deck and enjoy views, like this…

sunseta

and this…sunriseab

steakandcheese3A

Friday evening, I made steak and cheese sandwiches; a favorite of J’s. This is my contribution for Jen’s Tasty Tuesday.

TastyTuesday175pix

Slice thin breakfast steak into two inch strips and add a dash of garlic powder. Spray skillet with Pam, add steak, cooking until nicely browned.

In another skillet, saute sliced mushrooms and onion.

Place steak on toasted bun or crusty bread, add mushroom and onion and top with Swiss cheese. Serve with mayo on the side and chips or raw vegetables.

Iced Tea was the beverage, for this meal on the back porch.

lemonadeB

A beverage I served, at the lake, recently; Real Lemonade Raspberry Lemonade, with fresh raspberries. Delicious!

Just a reminder; Barb’s Rooster Party is Friday, the 28th of August.

A little hint…

Be sure to stop by Kathleen’s, Tuesday, August 25, for Let There Be White II. Where lots of table setting inspiration can be found.

I’ve fallen behind in visits, again! I hope to do some catching up, while we are here, at the lake.

Hi Pat, your post makes me smile. I can see why J loves your cooking and posting too. I fixed a lunch (a while back) for us one day and posted it. Bill was so happy to eat it. He was very impatient after he had to wait for photos and such. A bit of complaining for the wait too. Then when he saw the food he was quite the happy man. His reward for waiting. LOL.

Your view of the lake is so wonderful. A lovely getaway. I love to see your photos of your lake so much.

Hugs...Jeanne

The view from your deck would make me quite happy to just spend the day looking out!! :-) Funny how doing this seems to bring peace to everyone!

Your breakfast looked yummy (those tomatoes are LUSH!!), but I am so inspired to make that steak sandwich for dinner for my husband and son. They would be in heaven!! I am always looking for ways to use breakfast steak. Thanks so much for the recipe, and also for the reminder for Barb's party. She is a sweetheart, isn't she??

Enjoy your time at the lake, Pat!!

Your lakeside condo is always a delight to visit Pat......those views are priceless. After lake relaxing and viewing at our friends' beautiful place at Lake
Almanor, Calif. recently, I know how much I would cherish a place such as that to spend my old age, LOL!

Pat dear, once again, need your help please. Where on blogger do you locate the widget (?) to add the 'you may also like this' link at the end of your posts? I can't find it anywhere and think it's a neat way to direct readers back to former posts. Any assistance greatly appreciated as always.

By the way, Jeanne, Penny and I are meeting in Asheville in Oct. for Screendoor shopping and lunch - and we're allowing our guys to come too! Why don't you and J come back - that would be such fun!!

Hugs - Mary.

Pat, I just love your post! That steak sandwich looks just yummy, as does the raspberry iced tea. I can't wait to see your rooster party entry.

We were in VT last week, right on Lake Memphremagog. It was so peaceful to wake up to that view every morning. Enjoy your time!

The scenery there is just phenomenal! I can imagine some real relaxing gets done staring out over the water. And lots of wonderful photos. And when you're the cook, I know there will be lots of good food. I have said it before, and I will say it again. Does that husband of yours know how lucky he really is? At my house he'd probably get instant oatmeal for supper.

We just spent the weekend at our lake house as well. Lots of fog early in the morning made it seem like fall. That sandwich looks so yummy I know my husband would love it. How do you make the raspberry lemonade? Looking forward to seeing your roosters.
