~A Castle, a Princess & Other Stories ~

A view of Ha Ha Tonka Castle ruins, Ha Ha Tonka State Park, Missouri.
Our daughter met us in Osage Beach, Wednesday afternoon. When we arrived at our meeting place, we were delighted to see Aunt Terrie brought a surprise passenger, Gabi, for a few days at the lake. We enjoyed the past couple of days, exploring castle ruins, pony rides, lunch out and shopping for pumpkins and mums. The girls left for home, early this morning.

The castle, built around 1909, was destroyed by fire, in 1942. We promised Gabi a visit to the castle when the weather became cooler. Fall-like temperatures arrived at Lake of the Ozarks this week, with day time temps in 60's and low 70's. Perfect weather for exploring castles.
Gabi enjoyed the walk up the path to the castle, seeing all kinds of interesting things along the way. She loved the castle, even though she didn't find a dragon!
More about Ha Ha Tonka Castle can be found here.

Granddaughter Xanti photographed her baby brother Noah, last week. Isn't he a sweet old fashioned fella?
We're returning home, this evening. We have a very busy day tomorrow. During the morning, we will participate in the 2008 Share Walk, in memory of Xanti and Noah's brother, Elijah, who was born in 2006. Elijah went to be with the angels, not long after his birth. Share Walk is a national event in remembrance and hope for babies.
During the afternoon, we'll be celebrating Gabi's 4th birthday with her mommy and daddy, brother Drew, aunts uncles, cousins, and grandparents!
I was so happy to visit my blogs, during this week and hope to do more catching up, Sunday, when we have an absolutely free afternoon!
Enjoy your weekend.
