Once again, it’s time for Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Visit Susan, each Thursday, for creative tablescapes, all around the land of blog.
The back porch table is set, for an informal supper, with crockery from Robinson Ramsbottom. The decorated salt glaze crock, sitting in the tray, is from Crocker & Springer Pottery, Elsah Illinois. The pieces have been part of our collection since the mid 1990’s. These are not antiques. The small covered blue crock and paddle are antiques. I don’t remember where we purchased them, but I believe it was at an auction. The vintage napkins are from Antique Mercantile, Marshfield Missouri.
It’s a beautiful day in Missouri. I spiffed up the back porch, a tad, this morning. The wicker settee was brought from the studio. I found a few pillows in the basement storage. J brought the wicker plant stand to the porch, also. The collage shows the settee. We exchanged the white chairs, formerly around the table, with two black Queen Anne style chairs, we found at a resale shop and refurbished. The table, we purchased a couple of years ago at a resale shop, is beginning to look pretty shabby and not in a good way. I’m thinking about painting it. More about that in a later post.
The powder room makeover progresses. I hope to complete the project in the next few days.
