Today was another one of those dreary, rainy Fall days, we’ve had several of, this Autumn of 2009, here in Missouri. The kind of day that has us wondering if it will rain until Christmas!
It was a comfort food kind of day, that called for simple food, easy to prepare; a Crockpot day!
Easy Crockpot Stew
1.5 or 2 Lbs. Stew Meat
Five cups of vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, onion.
One packet McCormick Slow Cookers Hearty Beef Stew Seasoning
1 1/3 Cups Water
Dredge beef in flour and brown in skillet with a small amount of oil. Add vegetables and beef to Crockpot. Mix seasoning in 1 1/3 cups water and pour over beef and vegetables. Cook on low, about 8 hours.
Serve with biscuits or cornbread.
Enjoy!
